Ok. I am trying to set up my homenet work. I get as far as using the wizard
to set up. It starts fine than a icon pops up by my internet connection i am
sharing with the hand icon..and a message by it saying shared..than just as
it is about to finish it says error and the shared ...

I have two computers at home, one, say named A, is running W2K pro.
B is running Win XP pro, both with all current updates. They talk to the
Internet and to each other through a D-Link router and an ADSL modem.
I have set up a small home network named Home.

I will be purchasing a firewall for my home LAN and I will be setting up
a VPN so that I can access my home computer when I am away from home.  
Does that preclude me from using Remote Desktop or can Remote Desktop be
used through a VPN?  Do both computers need to be using XP?  ...

We have 2 units, one XP Home one XP Pro, operating on a LAN behind a Linksys
BEFSR81 Ethernet router.  I recently flashed the router to the latest
firmware.  For reasons unknown, both computers seem to have slowed down
internet connection speeds lately.

I have this little, however frustrating, problem.
I have to Xp-Home pc's connected to a wireless router.  One is direct
connected to the router (by cable), the other on is wireless connected.
They can both access the internet.
