I have for the past week, been trying to network 2 PC's into a workgroup via
a LAN. I have trawled through all the treads on this forum, and have review
most of the MS knowledge base.
Both are Dell's, a Dimension 8200 & an Inspiron 9300 laptop. Both are

wonder if anyone can help.
I've networked two xp machines over an ad-hox wireless network. It works

From a restart or cold start I have no problems and while connected to the
net I have no problems running apps. But as soon as I disconnect nothing will
run.

After a lot of investigation I am pretty sure that the reason one of my
machines no longer lets anyone in to use the shares is that the
restrictanonymous setting is at 1. I have changed it to 0, but on reboot it
returns to 1. Are there any favourite candidates for causing this??
