I just had to take my computer in for a checkf-up, it was sick and I was sick
and tired about it being sick.  Well after one hour of discussing what the
possibliliies to the reasn what was wrong with it?  I was informed that the
hard drive was going bad, hmmmm not even a year old ...

workgroup. I have, in a machine runnning xp, some folder shared (simple file
sharing), but if i browse, in the other pcs that are running win98, the
network neighbourhodd i saw the machine but can´t access ...

I have 4 computers on a network I can access 3 of them from each computer one
I can't access I used to be able to but something happened. I read tons of
threads here tried many things suggested here but can't get it to work.

I have unsuccessfully tried to network an XP Pro laptop to an XP Home Edition
desktop.  The desktop is able to access the laptop and its shared folders,
but the laptop cannot access the desktop "\\desktop is not accessible.  You

HI, I need some clarification on exactly what 'network bridging' will do
please.
I have a desktop on a home network of three PCs (wired network via a router

I've just gotten my new netgear router and netgear usb wireless network
adapter configured and the home network is working ok, the main computer(win
xp service pack 2) is a desktop computer with dial up internet access, and is

When I get onto the internet, it takes about an average of 4 minutes and it

I setup simple peer to peer network at home. I allowed file and printer
