I just had to take my computer in for a checkf-up, it was sick and I was sick
and tired about it being sick.  Well after one hour of discussing what the
possibliliies to the reasn what was wrong with it?  I was informed that the
hard drive was going bad, hmmmm not even a year old ...

i have a small network with some computer running Xp pro and win 98, in a
workgroup. I have, in a machine runnning xp, some folder shared (simple file
sharing), but if i browse, in the other pcs that are running win98, the
network neighbourhodd i saw the machine but can´t access ...

I have 4 computers on a network I can access 3 of them from each computer one
I can't access I used to be able to but something happened. I read tons of
threads here tried many things suggested here but can't get it to work.

HI, I need some clarification on exactly what 'network bridging' will do
please.
I have a desktop on a home network of three PCs (wired network via a router
and sharing ADSL connectivity, printers etc).  My desktop is not the gateway.

I've just gotten my new netgear router and netgear usb wireless network
adapter configured and the home network is working ok, the main computer(win
xp service pack 2) is a desktop computer with dial up internet access, and is
connected to the router via ethernet cable.

I work out in the field and routinely connect to the company intranet through
a vpn.  Is their any way to send a fax through the vpn to the modem on my
desktop at the office???

When I get onto the internet, it takes about an average of 4 minutes and it
will automatically close.  A message comes up that says "Internet Explorer
has encountered a problem and needs to close."  Then I press the Don't Send
button and try again.  The problem has been happening ...

I have used 1394 connection succesfully and reliably for almost two years

I currently pay my ISP for a block of static IP addresses - I've assigned
one to my router/adsl modem, and one each to three other PCs.  So these PCs
are currently accessible directly from the internet with external IP
addresses.

My Ethernet adapter on a new WinXP system is not connecting to a working
Ethernet adapter on my old Win2K system (thru a crossover cable formerly
attached and working with an even older Win2K system).
The status reported by WinXP is: "Limited or no connectivity".

I setup simple peer to peer network at home. I allowed file and printer
sharing on both PC's. PC1 can access me without any problems, but when I want
to access his files I get this message. I use only one account on each
