Let me 1st begin by apologizing for the long post but after reading some of
the others I hope eliminate some of the standard questions.
I recently purchased a new computer with Windows XP Media Center. I am

Chuck, I would like to thank you for your help in all of this, but I
found the reason I was unable to share.. and feel quite dumb in fact.
Somehow I had the "Server" service disabled. I set it to automatic and
all is well. Thanks anyway for attempting to assist me.

I can't share anything on my computer when I go to the properties'
sharing tab. I have simple file sharing enabled, and can also view the
shares from my windows xp home computer on this computer. Does anyone
