I followed all the steps to set up a home network with 2 computers running
Widows XP, using a residential gateway,  but when I try to access one
computer from another I've got the message:
"You might not have permission to use this fodder" or "the network path is

I've noticed consistent network usage of 0.05% on the Networking tab of  the
Task Manager on my system and cannot figure out the cause.  AVG has not
found any viruses.  Are there any utilities that can identify which
process(es) is (are) using the network?  I have installed Skype ...

I am at my wits end on this problem.  For the life of me I can not
figure it out.
Problem:  Entire network drops unexpectedly, IP addressing from
wired/wireless router stops.  IP 169.n.n.n on all wired/wireless

Newly installed IE started as I remember it - URLs typed into the address bar
were remembered and available as a drop-down list.  This list has
disappeared, and no matter how many URLs I use, none are remembered.  I can't
find any setting which controls this.

desktop.  I use briefcase to synchronize the laptop to the desktop.  I

Our company has different workgroups.  For example admin/sales/mshome.
Up until about an hour ago, I (im in admin group) could view anything in the
sales and mshome workgroup.
Now I cannot view the sales workgroup and everyone in the admin workgroup is
