There are two workgroups setup. The win2k pc's can see and access any pc on either workgroup, the new xp pc's do NOT see the other workgroup. Any reason for this???

My gateway tablet notebook won't assign an IP address when no network connection is present. APIPA (Automatic Private IP Adressing) didn't work. I had a network drive mapped to a shared folder on c: drive, and it won't connect if no ip address is available.

The problem was resloved using the following command in DOS: DOS COMMAND: net use q: \\dsm-g600\share /USER:WORKGROUP\admin We had no problems with the computer running Win2000.
