Running XP SP2 On a Dell Dimension 8200 with Dial-up connection. The Task Manager reports the connection is not responding. I must end task and redial to get back online. This doesn’t effect the rest of the system.

I have a few PCs that I am trying to connect together in a network. They run mainly XP Home and Pro. I installed a printer locally to one of the XP Pro PCs, then shared it out, and am able to add the printer to all the other PCs but not the XP Homes.

A friend of mine said that there's a NAT functionality built into the ICS (or Windows Firewall) when I set up a home network and Internet sharing on a XP Pro machine. Could you verify this? And if it is true, is there a way to enter static mapping?

how can a network show a connection, signal strength very good or excellent, and it is capable of transferring at 54megabytes a second but yet my computer only sends bites in single units, and it recieves less. after 10 minutes of trying to open a page- any page, it says
