Each time I open My Network Places, the window goes blank while it searches for shared folders on other Workgroup computers (a home workgroup of all XP systems). In searching here and elsewhere, the solution suggested seems to be:

I can't seem to figure out the logic but every once and a while Windows XP locks up completely when I am using my wireless card. I have tried different ones and it doesn't seem to fix it.

I seem to have 2 networks one under MSHome and the other under Workgroup How can I delete one and combine the other one with it. Or delete both of them and start all over again.

Windows XP Pro on Both Computers on Home Network with Linkysys Router. Firewalls all unistalled and off. Simple File Sharing on Both computers. Both computers have the exact workgroup name. Only the laptop can access the desktop PC that has a shared folder I set.
