I'm looking for a freeware that would allow me and a few colleagues to share files over the internet and also allow interrupted downloads to be resumed. It's kind'a like a p2p-type of freeware that's more exclusive and secure as oppose to being open to the whole world.

My problem is that for some reason any folders that I chose to share across my home nework, which are stored anywhere on my C: drive, can not be accessed over the network. This includes the Shared Documents folders, 'Shared Pictures'etc.

I run WinXp Pro on my laptop. I have just connected it to my home's ADSL Broadbank via an ADSL modem directly for the first time. The laptop recognise the network connection showing very strong signals. Howevber I could not get on the network/internet.
