I have 3 pc's networked. The host and one other is running xp pro, the third machine is running xp home. Although the host will share the internet with xp home it will not share it's files or printer with it. The host shares everything with the pc running xp pro. any advice

All of a sudden I find that I cannot run DOS commands like Sysedit from the DOS prompt in WIndows XP Service Pack 2. I can see the files when I type DIR, but when I try to run the commands, I get an error that WIndows cannot find the file. Any thoughts? Thanks.

On Chuck's recommendation I took a "leap of faith" by trusting the LSPfix utility to re-register my network stacks, followed by the WinSock2 and WindowsXP fix utilities. That wiped out my wireless network completely (sort of expected that).

I am new to this and would appreciate an explanation here. Under the column "local IP address" in my Firewall log, sometimes it shows"localhost" and other times "mycomputername(xxx.xxx.x.xxx). This computer name is also my SSID( without the IP address of course)
