I'm having problems accessing shared folders on a desktop via a laptop. The desktop can access shared folders on the laptop but not the other way around. Although the shared desktop folders are listed on the laptop, I get an error message that says:

I have been trying for several hours using the New Connection Wizzard to set up a connection for my cable connection. I complete the wizzard, but nothing shows in the window as being created yet it tells me it has. I am at a loss

I am, using XP Home SP2. My dial-up connection was working fine for months. Then a couple weeks ago I started having some sort of DNS-related problem. Using IE6, and entering a domain like normal, the browser could not find the domain. However, if I entered th IP address - bingo.

Hello; I have a 3 machine network. The Ping command works on 2 machines but not on the third. On the command line, when I enter ping and an IP address of one of other machines on the network I get the response 'ping' is not recognized

I have 3 computers, 2 have XP MCE and 1 XP HOME, I have a printer connected to computer 1 and can print from all 3 computers, file and print sharing enabled. I can access file on computer 2 from both comp 1 & 3 but can not access any files or folders on comp 1 or 3 from any comp. ...

I have two computers networked on a Linksys Wireless Router. One computer is a desktop running Windows XP hardwired to the router, the other computer is a notebook that is wireless, also running Windows XP. Both computers can access the internet to browse and send emails.

I think I'm having problem with master browser in an office with multiple versions of OS running and no domain controller. The specific symtom is everytime I reboot one of my PC, I'm no longer allowed to browse the workgroup I was in before rebooting.
