When I try to access a server in my network by alias, I get the error message: "You were not connected because a duplicate name exists on the network". but when trying to access the server with name or ip, it is ok. What is the problem????

My little home network has stopped letting me see some of my computers. They are not in my network places or ms home, however I can search for computers and find them and access files. I have turned of Norton and it makes no difference.

When i browse to a web site (mymsn, for example), the status bar in IE says: Finding site: my.msn.com for about 10-15 seconds before finally loading the page. This happens with every domain i browse to.

Well, this is an interesting issue to which I am totally stumped. Here's the setup: I have three PCs in my home, two running XP Pro, one running XP Home. All connect to a router, which connects to a DSL modem.
