Hello,
The system admin at my university gave me permission to run my code on the
60 computers in the lab on the weekends (when the lab is closed).  Right now,
I have to manually log into each computer.  It takes approximately 60 minutes

Here is the whole situation: i have win xp on 2 laptops(Compaq and
Pavilion), and i have a wi-fi network for file and internet sharing.

I'm running a pretty simple network -- two Windows machines, both
running XP Pro SP 2, plus a printer, all connected to a Linux server

As of two days ago, my web pages started loading intermittently. Sometimes
the pages will load, sometimes it doesn't even appear to try and load the
page and IE6 will report "done" at the bottom left without displaying

Is there a way to "link" a local directory to a directory on a network dirve
(like you can in UNIX)?  I have two desktop computers and I want to be able
to run a game on either one and access the same saved game files.

I have about five PCs at home, all running XP pro. I have them all set
up in a workgroup. However, one machine is giving me trouble, It can
see alll the other machines in the workgroup, but they can't see it.
However, they can see it if they give the IP address. E.g. I can enter:

This happens to me at least once a day and I can't figure out why.  I can
run an ipconfig /all and it gives me IP information.  Also, I go into My
Network Places and it shows a connected status but when I go to launch IE I
get page can't be displayed.  All window and NIC updates ...

I get the error "unable to contact your DHCP server" when I do an ipconfig
/renew.  I'll get a 169 ip address which I know is wrong.  This used to work
for months and my laptop will work just fine.  So it must be a problem with
my desktop.  I have WinXP SP2.

I used to be networked at my office and my hard drive crashed.  I bought a
new hard drive, but in the interim used my laptop Win XP Home SP2.  I simply

cable modem. The computer suddenly began dropping the internet connection at
random; sometimes for a few minutes, other times for hours. The cable folks
