One computer can see both, but computer 1 (home) cannot see computer 2 (Pro). What am I doing wrong. I have tried through a Lynksys router, as well as with a CAT-5 network cable. I am running McAfee on computer 1. Is the firewall on the virus software causing the problem?

Information about PCMCIA LAN cards I used in my XP Pro system is stored somewhere within it. When I set IP address of the card I'm currently using, the system warns me that other card, currently not connected, uses this IP. How to remove safely any reference about my old cards?
