2 questions. First i have set up my pop3/smtp server but i dont understand why everyone uses smtp.mydomain.com and pop3.mydomain.com? What is the benefit of this? I just use www.mydomain.com ? Is this really dumb, if so why?

Not sure this makes sense, but ---- I have 2 comps on a crossover cable LAN, sharing a printer. Is there a way I can connect the laptop (occasionally) so it simply connects to an already on-line connection with the ISP?

I've seen countless posts about this message and have not been able to pinpoint the issue. We have multiple Windows 2000 client workstations on a LAN within the same subnet(203.57.228.X) as teh Windows 2003 server.
