Hi. I have an already running network with 7 PCs and 4 printers connected
through a Catalyst 3500 series XL switch, IPs were assigned manually. This
Switch is connected to a PC working as a firewall and the firewal to a DSL
modem.

I just want to disable access for one user in windows xp sp2.  I create a
local user account but I don't know to disable access from de policies... Can

I can't consistently connect to netvibes.com using my XP SP2 laptop.
Ping times out.
Web connections using IE and firefox almost always time out, but
occasionally return a partial or full page.

Thanks in advance for anyone's assistance... here's my issue. I had a network
set up between 2 pc's - one was XP SP1 (XP1) and the other was Win2000 (W2K).
To access files & printers on W2K, we'd have to 'log on' from XP1.
Anyway, we replaced the network router with a wireless ...

I'm running XP Pro sp2 on both of my home computers.  If I am "on" computer
A, I can see computer B files.  However, if "on" computer B, I "cannot" see
computer A files.  I have seen a lot of information on disabling anti-virus

I have a NetGear router set up with a WPA security and am attempting to
connect a Toshiba tablet PC to it.  It sees the network but always tries to
connect using a WEP key.  Is there a way for it to recognize WPA security?  
It won't even let me enter the wireless password at this ...

I have 2 PCs both running Win-XP SP2. I have an internet connection via

I just upgraded dsl from 54m to 300m.  Do I need to upgrade the router and
network cards on the computer to get the faster speed?  The network card
shows 100mps.
