Laptop's "ipconfig /all" report looks weird with strange characters for
certain addresses.  Is the following normal? This particular laptop is also
unable to see the Workgroup; I want the laptop to access the shares on a
networked Win98, but may the following report provides clues ...

i have 2 xp computers. one is new and i have had it for some time now
and  i have had no problms with it. yes i have altered just about evey
setting in it to be custum. so i realy do not want to format this one
because as we all know installing everything from ground up is a pain

I'm having trouble networking my laptop and desktop computers. They are both
running XP SP2 and I've uninstalled my Firewall and Anti-Virus software and

I have searched and read solutions on virtually every networking site I

I've decided I want to discontinue the home network I setup on my laptop (XP
sp2), as the host. File and print sharing is off, but I want to ensure that
the service is totally stopped for security over the internet.  Is there a

HELP!
A couple of days ago, spyware and a trojan was inadvertantely downloaded to
my computer. I tried my best to clean it out, but today, more has been
downloaded. I know that these malicious programs have opened up "back doors"
