I have a LAN NIC and a dial up modem. Say I connect with both. Then my
dial up becomes my default. i.e. when I browse the web, it uses dial
up.

Trying to share broadband internet connection. The Home network is already

I can't get anything to show in My Network Places even though the network
works ok. It does have the menu on the left of this window though.

My laptop connects to a local network via a router and we can access the
laptop from the network computers and upload material from the laptop.  But

I'm using APIPA on a small XP netowrk without a DHCP server.  Is there a
registry setting or another way i can disable it from attempting to find a
DHCP sever before it assigns it's own address.  It takes close to a minute
after it's booted up and i have to explain to each user ...
