   I am using Windows XP SP2, which came pre-installed on my computer. I
accidentally uninstalled all of the Windows Components that are accessible by
the “Add/Remove Windows Components” button on the “Add/Remove Programs”
screen.  Since I did not have a list of the components ...

XP Home: at start up, tcpsvc.exe sucks up 50% of the CPU. I can shut it down
with Task Manager and still use internet. What am I missing? How can I
prevent this?

when I click on network neighbouhood explorer only opens after 5-6 seconds,
teh system being at that time also slowly responsive.
What should I look at ? There has been a time where it was faster. No idea
what could have changed since.

I am thinking of allowing certain people to access my CD drive, to view
files there.  I am not sure how to go about this, my wifes cusion has done

I've noticed on my WinXP Pro machine that the performance will degrade at
random times.  It usually happens when I impatiently "login" to XP just after
the login screen displays.  If I wait a few minutes and then login, the
performance of XP is "normal".

When I leave my computer on for a while without using it, and then try to go
on the internet, it won't do so and says it cannot find the server. How do I
make it look for the server automatically? I have XP home and use Mozilla for

Hi Folks.. In my In office network I am copying a group of 650 Meg
files (70 of them) across a Cisco Gigabit switch, using two Giagabit
nics...   On the Copying machine the CPU is Pegged at 100% for the
entire copy..I turn off antivirus and all the xtranous stuff...   On

Thought I'd use my PC's Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) facilities to
allow internet access to our Xbox 360. I plan on doing this using the
previous defunct onboard NIC in my PC.
