I upgraded (not fresh install) my home desktop from WinME to WinXP and since then I am unable to connect to internet. I am connecting via LAN using cable modem. It has been working fine before upgrade but am unable to connect since upgrade. Here is my desktop info:

I am using windows xp home edition, IE7. My temporary internet files folder is invisable, even to Search. The only way I can see the foldeer or its contents is if I access via Disk Clean-up. Even if I move the folder using Interne options it still remains invisable.
