I have windows XP home SP2 and a network of three computers around the house. For several weeks, one thing has been extremely slow. If I go to Network, it shows several folders under "Local Network". If I click on any of these, they come up reasonably fast.

at last i have connected my laptop to desktop, and i can access the internet via the desktop. I cannot access files on it though!!! it shows up as not authorised. Any ideas anyone?

I have three accounts on my WinXP x64 setup -- admin, my account & my wife's account. For some reason, my network connection will only work for my account; not even my admin account. This makes updating Windows impossible

I have 2 computers in my home in separate rooms that I would like to bridge but do not know how (if it is even possible). They both have Windows XP. Computer A is a desktop and is connected directly to my DSL modem via USB cable.

I have a small wireless network running in my home which consists of a PC and a laptop with printers attached to the PC. I would like to see the printers from my laptop so that I don't have to continually unplug and plug in the printer to the laptop and visa versa.

I added a computer to the network. To test it I gave it the name New_Warehouse. After testing completed I changed the name of the computer to Shipping and reconnected it. I use a backup server (MIRRA) and when I connect it calls the computer Shipping on New_computer.

Somedays my Internet Explorer will not open despite getting the hour glass for about 5 secs no page opens. I cannot get it open from the Desk Top or the Start/All Programs or from the quick start. Most days I have no problems is there a reason for this?

I'm trying to setup a p2p on two of my brother's computers. The last time I did this was on Win95 so it's been 8 years and obviously the process has changed dramatically from 95 to XP. I've followed all the normal instructions but cannot see the other computer

I cannot connect to the internet thru my cable modem. When i check the status window of my local area connection the support tab is missing. Does this mean i have a problem with my nic and if so what do i need to do next. tx,marc

Two units with WindowsXP Home SP2 all security updates. 56k modem connection. Both have NIC's and are connected with a crossover cable. Using MSHome Network, sharing files and printers. Plan on aquiring a cable connection, thru local cable company.
