I've done something that clearly MS didn't think I'd try and I could

I setup some network shares (on WinXP SP2 Home) on subdirectories of a

I recently purchased a Dell laptop with XP Pro.  My home computer (which has
the network set up on it) also has XP Pro.  I am able to connect to the
network, and thus the internet, but cannot connect to the home computer.  I

(administrator) and guest (enabled).
Problem I'm experiencing is that the guest account does not show any of the
network connections (comes up as "empty") and, as a result, guests must use

7.3 and Centos 4.2 servers, and router.
What I cannot do is ping name or number of WinXP Pro machine from self or
