For the first time in my life, I've just tried to make a home network (not wireless) with two windows xp computers that are connected with a router. I used windows wizard as I was taught first on one computer and then on the other. Now I have the following results:

I have 6 clients running Windows XP Pro. After the type in their password to the domain, it seems to hang for about 2-3 minutes. I need this to stop. I've checked with Microsoft's Knowledge Base and have tried a few things but none of them worked.

There is a network with 4 computers, all of them under WinXP SP2, the modem - ADSL Router with 4 ports Switch - SKYMASTER. Windows Firewall is turned on all computers. It's possible to see shared folders of other computer from any another one.

The Windows Zero Configure does not show any icon on my taskbar, and when I click "Wireless Network Connection" and try to see "show status", it does not pop up any window. Is there a way I can see the speed of my wireless adaptor?
