For the first time in my life, I've just tried to make a home network (not
wireless) with two windows xp computers that are connected with a router. I
used windows wizard as  I was taught first on one computer and then on the
other. Now I have the following results:

I have 6 clients running Windows XP Pro.  After the type in their password to
the domain, it seems to hang for about 2-3 minutes.  I need this to stop.  
I've checked with Microsoft's Knowledge Base and have tried a few things but
none of them worked.

There is a network with 4 computers, all of them under WinXP SP2, the
modem - ADSL Router with 4 ports Switch - SKYMASTER. Windows Firewall is

The Windows Zero Configure does not show any icon on my taskbar, and when I
click "Wireless Network Connection" and try to see "show status", it does
not pop up any window.
