I can send and recieve email fine (thunderbird and outlook) but IE and firefox both return 'cannot display the webpage' or 'cannot connect' messages. This happens both at home and college. Both connections are fine as have tested with other machines.

I cannot connect to the internet. I cannot cannot using the ethernet connection, a usb connection from my cable modem, nor by using a usb wireless network adapter on my wireless gateway modems network with my computer running xp sp2.
