My work laptop (runs XP Pro) is a member of a domain. I have a
workgroup set up at home (all computers running XP Home). How do get
the laptop to join the home workgroup?
When I start the Network Setup Wizard on the laptop, I get the message

ok.. i have turned on file/printer sharing on all pcs(2 laptops, 3 desktops),

OK here's my problem
I have a simple peer to peer network set up in my home.  It consists of
a desktop running Windows 2000 and two laptops running Windows XP with

I work as a IT trainee in the IT department of a highschool. Recently
we bought 60 Dell Latitude D520 laptops for our teachers. They work
well and are powerful enough. We've had some trouble that probably was
caused by human errors before. But it was fixed pretty soon.

says Vendio doesn't seem to accept  his password.
I never heard of Vendio, and so I can't help him.  I don't use Ebay.
What is Vendio?  Is it something problematic that he should avoid?

I have a win xp pro sp 2 machine where the firewall is greyed out and I tried
to reset it via the Gpedit.msc control panel with no luck? It mentions a DNS
setting that can overide the group settings does anyone know where this DNS
setting is?

I have (somehow) removed checkmarks in boxes for "Client For Microsoft
Networks" and "File And Printer Sharing" on my wireless laptop. I cannot
figure out how to get these two options back again. I am really showing my
ignorance here. Any help is appreciated.

I have shared folders showing up in the Internet group in My Network Places.
They work ok; they just aren't in the Local Network group, where they should
be.

I have some how unchecked two boxes on my wireless network set up for my
wireless laptop. I unchecked “Client For Microsoft Networks” and “File and
Printer Sharing”. How can I get the checked boxes back? I have looked
