Using XP Pro. I have always been using file sharing (regular, not
simple). But recently, sharing functionality seems to have been
disabled, possibly after a corporate patch. When I right click on a

I have a client with a strange problem.
The windows firewall dialog box shows the firewall is off but the options

I don't know what happended yesterday no problem and today when trying to
get on the net my local area connection reads status limited or no

I was trying to use a shared printer so I added my laptop (XP pro) to the
workgroup.  After restart, I can no longer log on to my laptop.  It doesn't
accept my username and password anymore.  How do I get back on my laptop?

It seems that by using a Ethernet adapter in the PCMCIA slot has solved this

Hey all,
I'm trying to network two computers in my small office and I'm having some
issues. I tried this before with one of our laptops, and the same thing
happened. My problem is this: my main computer is not showing that I've set

I have a network with some 300 PCs.
40% of them are XP,  40% of them are 2000 and remaining are 98.
We use WINS server for Name Resolution.  But, we have a problem since we
have started deploying XP Systems.  The PCs with XP as OS are not shown in
