I've decided to move to wireless broadband.  The new modem is up and running
fine, but I still have my old broadband account until the contract expires.
IPCONFIG shows two NIC adapters: one on 124.x.x.x (wireless) and the other
on 169.x.x.x (wired).

I live in a college dormatory and get my internet connection from their
"resnet".  I recently bought a router so that I could get internet on both my
desktop & laptop, and so I could share files without constantly messing with
a usb flash drive.

PC to PC connection (2 Laptops) with 1394 Kabel
     both Win XP with sp2 and patch 885222
Enabled TCP/IP on both with manual IP settings to

Hi,
I am using a Bluetooth dongle in my Laptop to access internet by connecting  
to my Desktop which in turn is connected to the internet through a ADSL
modem.

hey people i have two desktops and laptop all networked together, two d/tops
all ok laptop will not show in network places. if i run a  search for laptop
up she pops and i can work in laptop ? what have i done it was there b4 now
gone from n/work placed,

hi people had a chap set up network two d/tops & 1 laptop.
n1 d/top hooked up via modem using usb cable.
n1 to n2 d/top hooked together via crossover cable cat6.
laptop hooks up via cat6 cable directly from modem.
