I try to connect to the internet with either my old 50' ethernet cable, or a bran new 50' ethernet cable. I can only connect using a 10 foot cable. CAn someone please help me? Thanks

When I go to Windows Live Messenger and click "get it free" the result is "page cannot be displayed" instead of download window. This only occurs with microsoft sites.
