things use to work, then one day the laptop could nolonger see the desktop.  
but vice versa works fine.  Both can connect to the internet and connect
through a router...pretty normal setup.
i got fed up, restored my laptop completly and downloaded all the upgrades.

I searched for this and found no real answers to my problem.  I have a
2003 Server network with all XP machines.  Every machine has shared
folders.  When I double click on a computer in my network places, I get
the list of folders that are shared almost immediately, EXCEPT on two

If I am in the wrong NG please let me know. (as the choices in the window
when using OE do not match the choices when accessing newsgroups on the web
browser, and this was the closest match).

When I go into internet explorer the page freezes. I cannot close or search.
If i open a new window it allows a search though, but will still not let me
