I want to setup an in house ftp server. I've setup IIS and ftp service before for an internal network so I'm happy with that. What I'm not sure is how to open up the firewall for port redirection or putting the server in the dmz. I have a basic vigour2600plus router

I currently have windows operating systems XP. My network is a satellite link. The RTT is about 500 ms and the bandwidth is 1 Mbps. In UDP transfers, I can used all the available bandwith.

We are running Windows XP Pro with all of the patches installed. We have a network setup through a workgroup and we map drives to a Windows Server 2003 x64 server with a domain. We only have to run like this for a few months so we do not add the workstations to the domain...
