I've got two Dell Dimension 3100 that are connected to a netgear DG834G2 router for access to the internet. Both are connected with an RJ45 Cable. I want this two computers to share files but having problems getting them to do so.

I copied a 23,000 file directory across the network. I got an error during transfer saying it couldn't copy something unless I ended some programs. I had no programs running. How can I make sure I got everything? Even if it would work, I'm not terribly interested in moving

Just installed IIS 6 on one of our LAN computers running Windows Server 2003. Went to Application Server, IIS Manager, and finally Web Sites and created a web page in a folder called Web Home Page.

I have a laptop running XP Pro SP2 with built in Wi-FI and a Desktop PC running XP Pro SP2 using a usb netgear wireless adaptor. My problem is if i set my wireless router with WPA-PSK security the laptop will not connect but my desktop PC will.

I would like to create a network topology that shares an Internet cable connection between two LANs in such a way that both LANs can access the Internet but are completely isolated from each other (.i.e. a backdoor infecting one LAN could not spread to the other LAN).

Might be a silly question, but I only have a single pc, with internet connection and xp has set up a LAN, it looks like between my modem and pc (I've got no idea about the technicalities of it). Problem is, I get frequent issues with this LAN in the form of little icons

i am trying to connect to a wireless network on a sony vaio. other computers connect fine but my computer is unable to 'renew ip address' when i ping my ip address it times out. the help center says i need to remove and reinstall my ip address, how do i do this?
