For some reason whenever I click on a selected search topic I am re-directed to a different site. This is proving very annoying as I end up having to type the address in the address bar to ensure I get to where I want to go. Help!

I can not connect a machine to my existing network. When I run the Network Wizard, it completes, but never adds to my existing network. I can ping other machines, and get a response, but I can not connect to other computers. I can connect to the internet no problem. Any help.

I am connecting my HP to D-link router through network cable. XP informes me that connection is established, but I still can't conect to the internet - I get an error message from Explorer. My two faltmates have their com[uters connected without a problem.

I 'm trying to follow the instructions from microsoft and how to setup my networking sharing files and folders with XP home. It says to go to My computer\tools\folderoptions\view and choose use simple sharing etc. There is no such line in either of my computers that has XP home. ...

Isn't there a feature of Windows XP Pro. where you can tell it to wait for the network before continuing to boot? I seem to recall seeing a check box for this on a control panel somewhere but can't locate it now. Thanks in advance,

I have wireless networking with router between laptop and desktop. I am able to connect to the internet, and that is all. I've tried various offers on how to get my share files and folders to work, but at this stage..it would take a miracle. I've disabled/enabled Firewall...same

I recently installed a router connected to 2 PC's. Used windows XP wizard to connect both PC's & internet connections, all works fine. I now have to connection icons down in the indication bar, 1 for local LAN & 1 for internet connection.
