XP Pro in use. Simple file sharing turned off.
Two pcs, wired LAN connected, also both sets of users have identical names
and passwords.The permissions settings for EVERYONE allow the remote computer

OK, I think I have what may be the strangest bug I've heard about....
I have an Acer laptop that's been working fairly well - attached to

I have a Vista desktop and an XP desktop connected on a wired LAN.  Both can
access the internet.  The Vista can see and access the XP files and printers.
The XP cannot see or access the Vista.  The XP does not show any 'Network
Places'.
