I have a VPN set up at work on a Windows XP Home Machine.
I want to access my work network from my home computer (also Win XP Home).
The connection process seems to have worked fine (I get a successful
connection message on my task tray), but I cant browse the shared folders on

Some recent days, I can not to connect to the Internet. I use a
wireless connection. When connecting with the service is
ok( connection is sucessful). But i can not log in any website. I
always notice loading Problem page.

I am semi-skilled technically but to date still cannot find solution to this
problem. My ISP 'SingNet' is only good at taking money and nothing else. My
problem is I got disconnected frequently from the internet while downloading
huge file. What's wrong, event viewer no entry at ...

I have three computers.
One is connected to the internet through a Linksys wireless router via a
LAN cable.
The other two are connected via Linksys wireless adapters.

My network settings have apparently become corrupted. The computer was
somehow configured as an Internet Gateway. This is not correct as I have a
linksys router. This configuration has worked fine until now, when I
discovered that my XBOX 360 is unable to connect to the computer ...

I would like to set up a domain on my home network - it would solve some
problems but i cant find any good resources for lesrning how to set them up
and manage them - any sugestions?

This problem started approx. one month ago and not related to anything I am
aware of unless is was downloading IE7.  Had a web page in Favorites which
worked fine until then...now get the ol' "cannot display the webpage"
message.  Can go to Favorites Center, select History, ...

I receive this message when trying to add Client for Microsoft Networks.
"Could not add the requested component. The error is: 0x800700C1"
I have File and Printer Sharing, TCP/IP, and QoS installed but I can't
access other computer's resources becuase this component is not ...

Having reinstalled Windows (XP home) dial-up networking appears to be absent!
This is the 2nd time I've run into this problem - previously I solved it by
installing a previous version and then upgrading. Does anybody have any less

Greetings: I've been attempting to share a folder across two high speed
internet connections. I am able to ping the peer PC. I have shared the file
out to the "everyone" group. I am attempting to map to the folder by IP (no
DNS sever is being used) example \\12.14.56.10\share  ...

i have two computers, one xp pro and one xp home. i opened an administrator account on xp
home which is same as on xp pro and tried to log on xp home with this account as admin.
but xp home insisted on to make me Guest.

Have a network in my home which consists of:
Dell Desktop - (Linksys wirelss card)
- XP Home Edition Version 2002 SP 2
Dell Laptop - (internal wireless card)

I had my networked computers in more than one workgroup and then renamed
them all to the same workgroup.  All is working well except that I cannot
seem to remove or delete the old workgroup names.
Can anyone advise me on how to remove my old workgroups under XP?

I have been doing some "tweaking" with my computer in anticipation of
upgrading from XP Pro to Server 2003.  This computer is one of 4 on a home
network.  Three are XP Pro and one is XP 2005 Media Edition (I assume that is
XP Home).
