wondered if anyone can help me with setup to achieve voip:
I connect to internet via a wireless router/modem. The router is  my
friend's - I do not have physical access to this router.
I connect to his router via a wireless USB device connected to my PC.

I'm trying to set up a LAN connection with my XBOX 360 but no matter what I
try, I can't seem to get the LAN connection to pop up. I use the set up
configuration correctly but its almost like my computer doesn't even
recognize that the 360s connected.

Okay, for some very strange reason, Windows XP can't configure my
wireless now (though it has been able to since I got this PC in
August), and it can't view any available wireless networks, yet it

I have a Windows XP Pro x64 desktop, an XP Pro x32 desktop and an XP Home
laptop.  The laptop has a shared
folder named C:\RECOVERY.  There are also shared folders on the Pro

I had the network working just fine. Two days ago, when I woke up, my main
machine (WinXP SP2) was freezed and the network dead. After many tests and
reboots, I finally got it to work again using netsh to "reset" the TCP/IP.

Advent 9086 laptop with XP MCE, wirelessly connected to 3Com ADSL
modem/router.
Main PC has Gigabyte GA-K8NSC-939 m/b, using XP Pro/SP2 and all recent
updates.  Hard wired to router using ethernet cable.

I am trying to set up a remote desktop connection to access my Windows
XP Pro computer desktop from my Win98SE computer. The computers are
connected by Ethernet cable.
I got as far as the login screen, which asks for a password. My XP Pro

My desktop computer is now showing the 'network cable unplugged' message
after it was rebooted with my laptop currently accessing a document file on

I've setup a simple network between my desktop and laptop. File and Printer
Sharing is fine, but the laptop cannot get access to the internet for some
reason. I've got IE setup to auto detect LAN settings, what else could I be

I have a D-link DSS 5+ switch, Motorola cable modem, a laptop and a desk top
computer.
By plugging cable into modem, then going from modem to switch, then plugging
both computers into switch and that's the setup.

I just turned off my DSL and purchased a Sprint wireless card using EV-DO.  
Using the existing wirless router I used for all my computers at home, is
there a way to have my other computers access the internet through the
computer that has the EV-DO card in it?

I've got an XP Pro workstation networked to a 2003 Server.
I've enabled offline files and when I select a folder on the 2003 server for
offline use, the synchronization takes place, but does not preserve the
