I dont have problem in enjoying surfing the net through LAN connection but in sysem tray (Notification area) the icon is not visible. Please help and guide me to get the Icon back in system tray (Notification area) so i must b notified when connection is activated and when not

My old computer (2000) checks with the new computer on the network (XP) before it shutsdown. It takes a few seconds but if there's a simple way round this, I'd love to know.

I have succesfully set up a WinXP to WinXP VPN. My server is the office PC, and my client is my home PC. I can connect fine from home to my server PC at the office. However, I would like to be able to access shared files on other PCs on the Office Network.
