I have 3 PCs at home using Windows XP and two printers. I plan to install a
small network to host these 3 PCs and 2 printers together. I am still
undecided whether to go for switch or router (I plan to have internet access
in the future).

I have 2 desktop comps on a LAN that use a local phone line to my ISP
through the modem in one of the comps.  If I plug a phone in anywhere in my
house, for example, I can us this line for a phone (as long as I don't have
a connection to my ISP.)

I was trying to share my home printer with my work laptop over my home
wireless network, but I messed something up.
I do not have administrator access to my company laptop.  I brought it
home and logged in with with:

I have a client with a Dell Latitude D520, XP Pro SP2, IE7. The network card,
when set to auto, connects at 100mb but network and Internet aren't
available. It appears to send traffic but receive very little. I've installed

Problem: I use a router to connect to the Internet. I have set up the LAN
connection on my laptop. When I connect the cable, the connection shows as
"Connected, 100mbps", but I cannot browse the Internet (or update programs).
What is going on and how can I fix it?

I used to know the correct syntax for specifying the userid and password
within an FTP address.  I'm pretty sure the last time I did this was
prior to using XP.

I am facing an error with Internet Explorer 6. whenever I try to open
the application it works fine. I am able to browse the websites. But
intermediately it stops giving me error. IE not responding. IE

in WZCZ, at the end, users can simply press the 'print network
settings' button to the see the passphase. is there any way to disable
this? users should not know the passphase for security reasons.

We have two computers - one is a desktop and the other is a laptop.
Happened to notice in "Network Connections" that the
1394 Connection is "disabled" in the laptop
while the 1394 Connection in the desktop is "connected."
