I have set up a crossover cable home network connecting my dual core Pentium
Hewlett-Packard machine (host) to my older Athlon Packard-Bell (client).
Both machines currently run XP Home, I  may re-install XP Pro on the client.
The connection works perfectly for file and printer ...

Can you force XP to connect to the LAN before executing other (dependent)
tasks? For example, Messenger tries to sign in before the connection to the
router is fully established on a PC using XP and a Netgear router - and

I just re-installed Windows XP Home from my manufacturer disc and then
SP2 from a separate disc. It seems as though it is missing a lot of
drivers, because I can't set my resolution above 640x480 or the color

For unknown reasons, my Win XP Home desktop PC (HP Pavilion 750n)
cannot connect

ever time I do this folders from main PC dont show on 2nd PC same with 2nd PC
folders dont show up.I left network name default MSHOME.

I've cross posted this here as I'm not sure if it is a network or security

I've got several new XP Prof machines running in

I have been around and around with this issue.  I can no longer join
any xp machines to my 2003 domain.  I can file browse the server and
other machines on the domain but cannot join the domain.  I can browse
by name and IP address just fine.  I was able to join several

I can't configure my DI-524 properly : i can't reach my dynamic dns with
no-ip via internet.
It works perfectly without the routeur.
