In my living house there are 9 computer connected with lan network. One computer has one full shared folder. Only 5 computer can write\access this folder at the same time. the question is How can i adjust the limit access for this full share

I am trying to connect two computers using a regular router (Not wireless). It was my understanding that when you connect the cables, Windows XP will do the rest. I cannot get to the internet with either computer. What am I missing? What is the fix?
