We are using a AFAIK samba-based NAS drive called "Maxtor Shared Storage II"
in a network with 10 Windows XP PCs (Home and Pro machines).
We created a private (= password secured) share on this network drive.

I have a home network consisting of a PC connected to a Linksys 4 port
router. I have a Cat5 cable from the router into a cisco 3550 switch and from
the switch a further 3 connections made up of 1 PC and 2 work laptops.

The only file sharing I have ever done was with two towers with parallel port
connector.  I have a Linksys router and have created the network. but I can
not figure out how to get the guest laptop to access the host laptop.

I am having some issues with my home network.
I have a network setup using my desktop as the server.
The desktop is connected to a wireless router via an Ethernet cable, while
the other two notebook computers are connected wirelessly.
