I have been working on a simple LAN with two computers. I want to start over. How can I delete the Local Area Connection definition I've created on each computer? When I try to delete them I get a message saying it is prohibited. Can I get around this?

I have a new laptop and have it networked. My old laptop is still showing plus another one we don't know how it got there it's name is D5Fqgq61 any idea what that is??? Now How do I get rid of them as they are not needed. Thanks

With Windows XP Pro explorer logged on as an administrator I defined a share myshare of D:\myfolder, then a Dos box says \\mymachine\myshare\* file not found, but D:\myfolder\* and \\mymachine\driveshare\* work, the latter using a previously defined share of the whole drive D.

Every couple of hours or so, I lose the ability to access my browser and the diagnostics say No DNS servers / DNS failure. If I reboot, it's fine again.
