I ran XPnetDiag API on my XP partition where I haven't been able to connect
to the web and got an error 12007 that during connection to
www.microsoft.com the server name and address could not be resolved. Could
not make HTTP connection. the same errors pretty much followed on FTP ...

Hi Everyone, I have been struggling with this problem for several weeks. I
have just about exhausted every method I have been able to find on the

When I follow the info from MS, they ref a screen with Secutity as one of the
tabs, I see Sharing, not Secutity. I have admin rights, What do I need to do.

I am trying to network XP (existing computer)& Vista(new computer) I can see
the files on both computers but when I try and open them it doesnt work.

I've had file sharing working for a long time but now it doesn't.
Since I don't use it daily
I don't know what I did that might have caused it to stop. Two or
