Hi Everyone, I have been struggling with this problem for several weeks. I have just about exhausted every method I have been able to find on the Internet to fix this issue. I am working on a small network of 10 computers. They are all XP Pro machines.

When I follow the info from MS, they ref a screen with Secutity as one of the tabs, I see Sharing, not Secutity. I have admin rights, What do I need to do.

I've had file sharing working for a long time but now it doesn't. Since I don't use it daily I don't know what I did that might have caused it to stop. Two or three things come to mind.

When opening the status window of my Local Area Connection it looks weird. It's like the frames for "Connection" and "Activity" are too large for the window, so the icon with the Sent/Received Packets are in the lower right corner.

I have a WinXP Pro computer with both wired and wireless connections. When I boot the computer tehre is a window of approximately 10 mintutes during which I can use the network connection. After that it simply fails! Attempts to access the Internet result in a DNS failure.
