Process Monitor only shows the top process id which is svchost. I guess Svchost represents any number of services, any of which can be generating ip traffic. The question is how does one zero in on the culprit service?

PC (winXp Sp2) could connect to adsl thru hub, modem and floating ip. However, it can't connect to adsl now! Lan is OK, can connect to other PC on the net, and other PC can connect to adsl!

I have this problem that's been bugging me for a while now. I have an ADSL connection over a FreeBSD server. The path is simmilar to this: ADSL -> FreeBSD server -> Server Access Point -> Home Access Point -> Router -> My PC.

I was able to access a site just fine up until about a week or so ago. Ever since then, everytime I try to access the site I get rerouted to Yahoo! search or it just says that it cannot be displayed. I've tried three different browsers, IE, Netscape, and Firefox and still nothing ...

I'm currently busy installing a new computer system and try to access a network shared drive to recover all data from the old one. Nothing is yet installed on that machine except it's hardware drivers and Windows XP Pro fully update. I disabled also the firewall.
