I have a desktop that is hooked up to my work LAN. We also have a wireless
LAN at my office. If I plug in a wireless USB adapter to use on the public
wireless network and disable the LAN will that change my IP address?

I have a computer that wont allow anyone to access it.  It can access all
other computers and the internet and shared NAS devices, but no other
computer can access it or ping it.  it does show up in network computers, but
you cant access it.

I'm sharing an internet connection through a NAT-enabled ADSL router.
Someone keeps trying to cut off the connection from me, using such programs
as Netcut, SwitchSniffer etc.

when I open the advanced tab within the wireless network connection
settings it says that the windows management instrumentation (wmi)
information might be corrupted and that I should use system restore to
correct the issue.  I have not been able to succeed using this
