I have a desktop that is hooked up to my work LAN. We also have a wireless LAN at my office. If I plug in a wireless USB adapter to use on the public wireless network and disable the LAN will that change my IP address? I would like to be able to check my email at work.

I have a computer that wont allow anyone to access it. It can access all other computers and the internet and shared NAS devices, but no other computer can access it or ping it. it does show up in network computers, but you cant access it.
