We runs windows 2003 server and XP pro for workstations. Some of the XP user can see all computers in the domain under Microsoft Windows Network, but some of them can't. Can someone help to point out the reason? Your help will be appreciated.

Here is my configuration. Simple LAN Peer to Peer in a workgroup without a domain, set up behind a router and two switches. I have my compter set to a static IP, which is port forwarded to from the router in order to access files remotely.

One of our PC's on our network has stopped logging in to the domain and will not assign itself an IP address. The server is running DHCP and there are loads of IP's available but I just get the Limited or No Connection error and an IP is never given to the machine.

I boot up my XPSP2 machine and all is well - I can browse as normal. After a few minutes, I start getting connection timeouts (IE and Firefox). A reboot fixes the problem for a few minutes Here is the weird part - I can't browse via HTTP, but I can hit HTTPS sites

I am trying to map the network drive to my local pc, but while mapping the drive error shows "Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions. The network is not present or not started" (Working on Domain)

When I try to connect to my dial-up connection, it dials like normal. However, when I go to Internet explorer, it says the page cannot be displayed. My email can't be accessed either. This is a computer that hasn't been hooked up to internet before this. Any help will be appreciated ...

I've read disabling DNS Client & using a good Hosts file provides safer & faster web browsing. I'm using IE7. Just thought I would check with people that know what they're doing before I go messing around with something I'm not sure of. Any expert advice is appericated.
