I am working on a small network where computers are in a workgroup as opposed to a domain. What is the most effecient way to perform backups of all data on all computers short of walking around backing up each one of them?

Following on from an earlier post whereby my son, living in Romania, indicated that he was seeing limited on no connectivity on his internet connection; even though we were talking (on Skype), has come back with print screen dump of his network folder.

We're got an XP Pro SP 2 PC trying to connect to our Win2003 domain. The 'Domain' line in Computer Name Change is not visable - only Workgroup is. Any suggestion on how wer can get this PC to connect to our domain? Thanks

I have several computers on a network, one is wireless. I have been happy as a clam sharing files among all computers when I got a virus on my XP machine. I cleaned and restored and pretty much got back where I was and even the network was working fine.

I've been running XP sp3 for quite some time now and all has been OK. Suddenly though I've encountered a strange browsing problem that effects ALL browsers IE7, Firefox3 and that new Google thing. In practise they just stop browsing !

I'm running a Server 2003 domain at home and just got my wife a new laptop running Vista Home Premium which of course can't be joined to the domain. It's in a workgroup the same name as the domain and her local account name and password on the laptop are the same as in the domain ...
