I am planning on buying a new pc that comes with Home
Edition. In talking to a techie at my ISP, our
conversation drifted to Windows. He recommended that I
consider XP Professional, as in his experiemce, it is very

Having, hopefully, overcome LOVESAN, I now have a trojan.  My antivirus
identifies Tojan Horse Dialer in E:\ System Volume \_restore(8BF2FFetc)dll.
When I run the scan it tells me the virus has been healed, but
unfortunately, its still there!!!

Hi, How do I alter my screen size so that it re-fits the
size of my monitor.  I accidently and inadvertantly
messed with the buttons on the actual monitor which
change the size and shape of the screen and I cannot get

I just upgraded to XP-Pro. At first everything worked fine but just
recently, when want to run the program "VISIO" an hourglass shows for a
second or two (like the program is loading) but then disappears. Control
comes back to me (system does not freeze) but the program does not run ...

I deleted sun java and installed microsoft VM.
What is the difference?
I'm hoping the Microsoft VM is a smaller mg. and doesn't

Everything works fine exept the shutdown/restart no longer
works from the start button. You can only shutdown by
pulling the plug. Can any one help?
