I have win xp home,  single hard drive partitioned into C;
and D:  XP and all applications are installed on C:   For

I just installed win xp pro and there is no sound.When I

Just begun using Dell-installed WinXP Home. I'm surprised
to find that when you drag icons on the desktop they don't
move on the screen while you move the mouse with the
button held down. They jump to the new position when you

Some one from Finland had a good one for Win ME but I don't think it was

q1...get msg to remove and close programs before install. on xp taskmanager
the application tab has nothing[just booted up].  the process tab has 30
plus listings.  how do you know which to disable as some look critical.  in
win98 the taskmgr only showed certain programs and all ...

I have a problem... Netmeeting remote desktop sharing programme always
appears in my task bar when I start up.   It's not actually activated but I
don't want it starting up.  It does NOT appear in start up.  Can anyone

I have some files saved on a disk that were written on
Word 8.0. I saved some with passwords to open, but now I
can't open them at all with WindowsXP. I get an error

I tried to change my user name and password on the
opening windows XP log in  Now I can not log in at all
"system can not log you in make surename and domain are
correct"  So now I am stuck! as I must have previously
