Double-clicking on a folder opens the "Search" folder.  
When right-clicking on a folder, search is at the top of
the list and in bold.  I just want the damn thing to open
when I double-click.  How can I change this?

I just tried to boot my fairly new XP machine.
I got a message on the screen that said: NTLDR is missing, press CTR-Alt-Del
to reboot.
Every time I pressed Ctr-Alt-Del I get the same message.

my mouse pointer changes to the running in background icon every now and
again, it goes back to normal almost right away.
When I check to se which programs are running via the task manager it shows
no program is running.

My laptop has disabled the S-video output.  When I
checked the settings, the menu showed only a notebook
instead of the LCD/Monitor/TV choices.  It corrected
itself once, so that I could select the LCD and the TV.

Just got a new machine running Win XP Home.  Want to set
up 4 or 5 users.  Am finding that I have to configure all
multimedia defaults, sound card, video settings, desktop

Now that we have Windows XP I cannot use the edit command
to open a batch file in Command Prompt.
My prior knowledge of DOS commands is limited.  I
previously would use "edit" to open the file to make

i find that XP is slower than the older W98SE.  even tho my processor, RAM

Can someone help me to understand why when I leave my
computer turned on a blue screen comes up and tells me
that my memory is being dumped? It only does that when
the computer is left on and not being used why is that?
