I did a clean install(no upgrade) of XP on my HP

I'm new to xp. I loaded a program and it works fine,
however how can the other users on this computer access
it when it doesn't show up on their list of programs?

I had to reenter my XP, now I am trying to register it
onto the internet and it says it has been enter too many

I have all of the critical updates installed.  Do I need to install all of
the Windows XP updates as well?  What about the driver updates listed?
